• Develop, tests and document the mechanical designs from concept until they meet all requirements and comply to all relevant regulations.
• Create new concepts based on theoretical calculations, proven technology and/or prototypesSupport stakeholders, eg (system) architects in making the right decisions based on risk management.
• Make transparent technical choices vs requirements and trade-off scenariosDesign and modify 3D-models and 2D-drawings in CREO for manufacturing of components and the assembly of products.
• Make a work breakdown and estimate the development effort and the product costs and commits to agreed product costs and planning of the mechanical activities in a project.
• Define test plans, performs testing and writes test reports.
• Evaluate components from suppliers.

Vereisten

• Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferable Master degree.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as engineer in product development
• Proven theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical development with good knowledge of material (plastics, metal, rubber) and production methods (injection molding, die castings, sheet metal)
• familiar with development methods like FMEA, DFMA, V-model, DRBFM and structural analyses (FEA).
