Global Investment at Omnicom Media Group

The Global team is a dedicated unit to drive value creation and monitor and deliver media buying commitments to our well-established and growing client base. It is built around experienced media traders, auditors, and analysts whose job is to share and apply best practice across our global network and ensure that our clients always receive the best media value and guidance.

The team plays a vital role in quantifying and tracking media buying performance across all Omnicom Media Group markets for global clients. We strive to define new ways of measuring media value to ensure we continue to lead the industry in this area.

Your principal responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and analyze OMG network media buying performance to ensure delivery against client commitments.
  • Collect data from markets - checking and cleansing for accuracy.
  • Help design reporting templates and work with your team/global markets to understand the context of media buys and their effect on the delivery of commitments.
  • Work closely with the Omnicom Media Group buying community to deliver client reporting and understanding of buying performance and market context. This includes weekly calls with local markets to discuss any upcoming issues.
  • Consistent communication with markets to capture and share best practice.
  • Working with the pitch team to understand how the media investment value model is crafted, articulated, and delivered to clients.
  • Daily communication with your Manager and Directors in ensuring first-class reporting through audits and reviews of work.
  • Actively build personal knowledge and understanding of media channels, media metrics, and media products.
  • Capture and retain market and client knowledge to proactively improve current and future work.
  • Uploading excel data onto our internal systems.
  • Assist in onboarding and training/supervising new analysts in the team.
  • Work with systems like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Weekly face-to-face meetings with your team.

Your success will be measured based on the quality and timeliness of data collection and quality of reporting/media performance analysis, your participation in value creation (training, pitches) and your understanding of local markets and clients. At the senior analyst level, we would expect regular proactive contribution to department initiatives to improve performance, including reporting mechanisms, templates, and databases.

Desired Experience

  • We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a strong foundation in working with data in Excel/reporting and Mathematics.
  • You should also have strong interpersonal and written communication skills and a keen desire to progress your professional skills.
  • An interest in the media industry and the media investment world is a must.
  • Previous experience working in a media buying or planning role would be highly desirable.
