Media Operations Manager (Maternity Cover)

The Broadcasting team at the Premier League are looking for a Media Operations Manager to join the existing Media Operations and Access team on a 13-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. Working alongside the Senior Media Operations Manager, the Media Operations Manager will help provide a best-in-class service to our Rights Holders and Clubs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team of Broadcasting experts at the Premier League. The role would suit a dedicated, hardworking and personable candidate, with excellent communications skills and a background in Production Management or a Broadcast Operations role within a Sports Broadcasting business.

All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
The role- Assist with the effective management of the strategic working relationships with Domestic and International Broadcasters, Premier League Productions (PLP), Clubs and other departments within the Premier League. This will include regular calls and face-to-face meetings with key personnel from Clubs and Broadcaster Partners.
- Provide specific Broadcast insight and support to Clubs to help ensure compliance to the Premier League's Section K Broadcast Rules, ensuring Domestic and International Broadcast Partners receive the best possible service.
- Direct management of ten Premier League Clubs, with support from the Senior Media Operations Manager.
- Working closely with Domestic Broadcast Partners, PLP, Club Stadium teams and Premier League Match Managers to deliver a best-in-class matchday experience. This may require site visits along with matchday attendance to support the Match Manager programme.
- Review Match Manager reports for the allocated ten Clubs and lead on any required follow-up actions to resolution stage.
- Build strong relationships with PLP's On-Site team to help support delivery of a best-in-class match day service to our International Broadcast Partners.
- Support the delivery of ad-hoc on-site activations by the Premier League's Digital and Commercial teams as required.
- Represent the Media team at the internal Match Day Operations Review meetings and escalate or resolve any issues raised.
- Support the delivery of Match Manager Briefing meetings which take place three times per Season.
- Maintain and deliver accurate match documentation templates and Club Guides.
- Provide support and guidance to the Media Operations Executive as required.
In addition, support the Media Operations and Access Team with the 'business as usual workstreams', which include:
- Manage and deliver regular meetings with the production teams of our Domestic Broadcast Partners and PLP.
- Work with the Senior Media Operations Manager on promoted Club planning. Assisting with organising stadium facilities surveys and Club preparation for Season 2025/26 and Season 2026/27 in relation to Section K Broadcast requirements.
- Liaise with Premier League's accreditation partner, DataCo, to manage Broadcaster match day requirements.
- Working with the wider Media Operations team to deliver two all Clubs Stadium Facilities group meetings per season.
- Regularly attend match days, building strong relationships with all Broadcaster Partners, Match Managers and Clubs. This will involve building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of personnel.
- Provide support to the wider Media Operations and Access team, and Broadcast department, as required.
- Significant experience working in a Sports Broadcasting, Production Management or Broadcast Operations role. The ideal candidate would have experience in Outside Broadcast.
- Excellent contacts in Football, Sports and Broadcasting industries.
- Calm under pressure with a keen, can-do attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- First class Microsoft Office skills (including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and deadlines, taking pride in the quality of work produced.
- Strong interpersonal and literacy skills with the ability to interact well with people at all levels.
- Tact and diplomacy. Able to judge situations sensitively with an understanding of strategic context.
- Ability to work weekends both on call and regular match attendance. Domestic travel will also be required.
