Job Description
We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of CAMHS Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team here at Aaban based at our locations in Accrington, BB5 postcode.

Pay : We have an excellent pay rate of £33,000 to £43,000 per year (depending on experience)

Contract : Full time, permanent contract

The role : You'll be confident in assessing a variety of acute and complex mental health issues as well as collaboratively planning and implementing treatment. You'll be familiar with multi-agency working and have a clear understanding of the importance of family involvement.

We are looking for a highly skilled communicator who can relate to young people and involves them in all aspects of their care. You'll have worked in a least-restrictive environment.

You will have worked with patients who present with complex needs and challenging behaviours and are confident in using de escalation skills. You'll be resilient and a team player and can work under pressure.

The role is rewarding and a privilege to be able to play a part in the recovery of a young person and support discharge back into the community.

Who are we?

Aaban Partnership Ltd is a new and exciting service offering high-quality specialist mental health services for young people with complex needs.

Aaban Partnership Ltd has two CQC regulated bespoke built 10 bedded units offering Assessment, Stabilisation, treatment, and intervention for young people aged 8 -18 years.Providence Unit (Assessment and Stabilisation Unit) and Moira Unit (Treatment and Intervention Unit) are both open and operational and we require passionate, committed, hard-working healthcare support workers to work as part of our team.

Aaban Partnerships LTD is a CAMHS inpatient service based in Oswaldtwistle. As a CQC registered Hospital we provide specialist Mental Health Services to young people.

We use an attachment and Trauma model and mainly support Looked after Children. We have two ten bedded units. Providence Unit is an Assessment and Stabilisation Unit, and is regulated to use the Mental Health Act 1983. Moira unit is a longer term Rehabilitation unit.

Aaban has its own MDT and a central Hub that provides education, therapy and Occupational Therapy sessions to our young people. As an expanding and developing service we are currently building three solo placements and step down flats on site, where young people can be supported to live more independently.

Key responsibilities:
Engaging young people and developing therapeutic relationships
Supporting young people through therapeutic interventions/programs
Escorting and supporting young people in the community
Attending meetings to share feedback about young person's presentation
Completing records and notes in accordance with policy
Safeguarding young people
Care planning
Medication management
Risk assessment and risk management
Encouraging the young person to engage with their weekly timetable
Providing stimulating activity
Life skills development
Physical health monitoring
Empowering young people to be the best they can be
Supervising healthcare support staff
Verbal de-escalation and management of challenging behaviours
Use of DBT Skills - Training will be provided.
Working with families and carers
Adhering to data protection act and policies
Attend and participate in handovers
Monitoring young people's health and well-being and reporting back to senior staff
Uphold and adhere to all local and company policy and procedures
Information governance
Work with the wider/local community in a positive manner
Work with positive behaviour support plans
