KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE
Parts Planning & Order:
- Process parts orders accurately and promptly and coordinate with China HQ or suppliers, considering lead times, pricing, and supplier capabilities, to replenish stock as per demand and targets.
- Provide guidance and support to the Aftersales team regarding parts availability, lead times, and alternative sourcing options.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize parts demand forecast.
- Develop and improve demand planning models to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock-outs.
Parts Flow Management:
- Oversee and execute tasks within the DCS parts ordering system, ensuring a seamless end-to-end logistics flow.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient inbound and outbound parts transportation.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and manage lead times effectively.
- Analyze BO status regularly and work closely with China HQ or suppliers to solve critical BOs.
- Secure the Spare Parts and Accessories Master Data in our DCS System, as well as the Client Master Data (distributors).
- Monitor all administrative logistic activities, take initiative in identifying and resolving issues related to parts management, including customs processes, return flows, and new operational processes.
Inventory Coordination:
- Monitor inventory performance and take action to meet target levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather parts requirements and ensure inventory availability.
- Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to optimize inventory allocation and improve order fulfillment.
Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Utilize data analytics tools and software to generate reports and insights on flow performance, demand trends, and supplier performance, etc.
- Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations for process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, system enhancements, and process improvements to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by the Company related to the position
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERTISE
- Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous automotive parts (or equivalent) experience is preferred but not mandatory. Interest for this industry is high appreciated.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- IT-savvy with strong Microsoft Office skills (advanced Excel, Word, & PowerPoint are required. Experience in Power BI and MRP systems preferred).
- Strong follow-up skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluent English and French, Mandarin (Chinese) is highly preferred.
- Solid written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in challenging situations to meet deadlines.
- Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
