Multiskilled Engineer

Our client is a successful Yorkshire based fresh produce production facility, delivering high quality products. With a site based in Thorne, they are seeking an experienced Electrical biased Multi Skilled Engineer to join the fast paced and professional team.

THE ROLE:

Your job as a skilled Multi Skilled Engineer (electrical biased) will be to:

1. Be responsible for engineering repair, corrective and planned preventative maintenance across the site working as part of the engineering team.
2. Manage your own workload and ensure that work is completed to the standard required and any work outstanding is continued by the following shift.
3. Complete the work that comes from Audits, Work Requests and PPM follow ups.
4. Ensure you apply Health and Safety and Food Safety standards to all work undertaken.
5. Support all staff within your team and ensure targets/KPI's are achieved.
6. Manage Health and Safety of external contractors on site when required and ensure those areas are clean and tidy upon completion.
7. Ensure all machinery/equipment meets site standards and all sub conditions are dealt with or escalated accordingly.
8. Control and manage the ordering and quantity of engineering spares to ensure effective stock levels.
9. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all engineering areas.
10. Communicate effectively across all levels of management and all departments in relation to any engineering activities and breakdowns.

For this position of Multi Skilled Engineer, there is a two week rotating Monday to Friday after pattern working 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.

THE CANDIDATE:

1. City and Guilds or B Tech
2. Good communication and organisational skills
3. Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work to minimise machine down time
4. Work well as a team or as an individual
5. Flexible and adaptable to the company needs
6. IT skill to a competent level
