Musical Director Holmfirth Choral Society Yorkshire

Holmfirth Choral Society is a non-auditioned choir of around 60 members, founded in 1944. We are looking for a talented musician to lead us into the next phase of our music making. We meet weekly for 90 minutes of enjoyable yet focused singing practice. With a love for the traditional choral repertoire, we perform three major concerts each year along with a lighter event in the summer. We're seeking someone who can bring energy, positivity and encouragement to our rehearsals. The ideal candidate will work on a self-employed basis and foster a supportive atmosphere where our members can have fun whilst working hard to produce beautiful music.

1. Lead weekly rehearsals and concerts on Thursday evenings for 1.5 hours (approx 36 per annum, negotiable).
2. Conduct 4 concerts a year.
3. Foster a supportive atmosphere for choir members.

Fee: £3000 p.a. (i.e., £75 per rehearsal/concerts each year).

Initial one-year term, then a 3-year renewable period.
