Network Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Gloucester (Hybrid Working + Client Visits)

Salary: Up to £55,000

About the Role

You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies, designing, implementing, and supporting IT infrastructure that powers high-performing networks. From next-generation firewalls and secure cloud solutions to advanced wired and wireless networks, this role is ideal for someone with a passion for technical problem-solving and a consultative approach to client engagement.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Configuring and troubleshooting 2nd/3rd line networks, firewalls, and Windows Servers.
2. Designing tailored IT solutions and delivering seamless on-site and remote projects.
3. Supporting IT teams with advanced technical expertise, from safeguarding to network enhancements.
4. Conducting technical assessments and producing clear, actionable reports.
5. Representing our team as a trusted advisor at client and industry events.
6. Collaborating to build technical roadmaps and driving continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

1. Proven experience with networking principles like DNS, DHCP, IP subnetting, and routing.
2. Hands-on expertise with Fortinet (NSE4 or equivalent), Aruba networking, and Microsoft Intune.
3. A passion for creating and delivering IT solutions that inspire confidence and exceed expectations.
4. Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

What Sets You Apart

1. Experience in educational IT services or working with independent schools.
2. Familiarity with Securly, Barracuda Email Protection, or VMware/Hyper-V technologies.
3. Strong knowledge of backup solutions like Veeam and advanced threat protection tools.
