This role entails sourcing, pursuing, and securing new relationships with professional investors across Europe. The target client focus includes global financial institutions (GFIs), European financial institutions (EFIs), major institutional asset owners, corporate and public pension plans, endowments and foundations, insurance companies, family offices, and wealth management platforms. The focus regions of Europe include but are not limited to the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The focus products are primarily in Global Large Cap, US Large Cap, and US Small Cap public equity strategies with developing and expanding efforts in Alternatives including but not limited to ELS and Venture and Growth Private Equity.


Responsibilities

  • Expanding RAM's European-based assets under management (AUM) and revenue across various strategies and institutional and intermediary channels within the EMEA region.
  • Achieving both individual and team revenue and pipeline targets as set by Rockefeller Asset Management.
  • Collaborating closely with the President of Rockefeller Asset Management International to sell and service prospective and existing clients in the designated region.
  • Leading and managing European consultant relationships within the region, supported by the Head of Enterprise Client Coverage.
  • Present Rockefeller Asset Management's investment capabilities effectively, including differentiation from competitors and understanding of strategy integration into investors' portfolio construction.
  • Collaborate with RAM's marketing and investment teams to develop materials and communication focused on education, product positioning, and sales.
  • Provide client relationship management services to existing RAM clients, supported by the European Institutional Relationship Manager in London and the Client Service team in New York.
  • Increase connectivity and obtain buy ratings with consultants based in the respective territory for focus RAM strategies.
  • Consistently evaluate the product platform and consider or execute opportunities for new strategy launches aligning vehicles with end-investor demand.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years in the industry with direct institutional sales and consultant responsibilities, and proven success in revenue and asset raising.
  • Experience at a reputable institution in the European institutional market.
  • Strong academic background with an undergraduate degree; MBA, other graduate degree, or CFA preferred.
  • Previously registered as an FCA Customer Function 30.
  • Experience in a satellite distribution office.
  • Willing to work in the London office at least 5 days per week when not traveling.

Skills

  • Demonstrated technical competency and intellectual credibility in investment products, with specific experience in selling and marketing long-only and long/short equity capabilities being advantageous.
  • Proven track record of securing business through established relationships with diverse clients.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with institutional clients and consultants, with a high responsiveness to client needs and inquiries, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
  • Proficient understanding across equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to be adaptable, understand client needs, and competitively position RAM across both existing and potential new strategies.
  • Results-driven, proactive, strategic, and energetic.
  • Process-oriented and systematic in approach, with a high level of discipline and attention to detail required for meeting prospect and client needs.
  • High integrity and strong work ethic, with exceptionally well-developed personal and professional values.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) for the purpose of building and strengthening relationships.
  • Compelling, influential, and collaborative approach - strong team player.
  • Motivated by building businesses and working as part of a small team, in an entrepreneurial setting - must be hands on by nature to operate in a lean, boutique firm environment.
  • Passionate about innovation, creativity, and able to sell the Rockefeller Asset Management platform, while working within the confines of the broader organization to transform ideas and investor partnerships into profitable ventures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Office Suite) and Teams.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms Including: CRM tools, lead generation, prospective investor pipeline management, and client sourcing software.
  • Language skills in the areas of focus are a plus.
