Nursery Staff Horticultural

Full Time Hours Monday to Friday

Temporary Contract

Our business is looking for people who enjoy working with and learning about plants in a nursery. Machine potting, plant maintenance, and dispatching are just some of the varied jobs you will be doing each day. This high turnover business produces many plants for garden centres across the country.

Heavy lifting will be required; this is a physical job, so candidates need to be strong and able to lift. You must be able to get to the nursery due to its rural location.

This is a temporary position with a view to becoming permanent.

Onsite car parking is available.

Skills required:

• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Team player.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Duties will include:

• Repotting growing plants so they have enough room.
• Choosing the appropriate soil for new plants.
• Watering and trimming plants and shrubs as they grow.
• Transporting plants to other selling locations.
• Providing advice to clients about which plants to buy.
• Organizing plants by type and season in the store.
• Unpacking additional plants and accessories.
• General nursery work.
