Operational Procurement Manager

We've got a fantastic new opportunity to join our busy Procurement team as Operational Procurement Manager. Based from either Basingstoke or Wembley, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance. To support close collaboration with the wider procurement team, there will be an expectation to be in the Basingstoke office on a weekly basis.

The Role

As Operational Procurement Manager, you'll work flexibly across the procurement team on contributing to SNG and procurement objectives in line with SNG and procurement regulations. You'll influence the further development of systems, reporting and processes to ensure continual improvements.

Working with key stakeholders across the business, you'll promote the profile of the procurement function, through the SRM framework and self-service knowledge portal. You'll be responsible for supplier records management and ensuring appropriate governance and compliance is in place.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and managing the procurement team's reporting suite, providing timely and accurate management information
• Overseeing procurement reporting and ensuring compliance with finance and procurement regulations, including PA2023 notices and buying behaviours
• Supporting P2P process development and continuous improvements
• Monitoring regulatory compliance to ensure SNG and the supply base complies with regulatory requirements and implement any necessary changes in legislation
• Supporting SRM governance and maintaining the system for recording supplier performance, ensuring information is relevant and up to date and creating reports on supplier performance against KPIs
• Working closely with the procurement senior leadership team to create, maintain and deliver a procurement comms plan for procurement projects, editorials and other added value information that promotes the procurement transformation journey

What we're looking for

You'll need to have demonstrable experience within a similar role in procurement, with strong data analytics skills, including Power BI. You'll also need:

• Good knowledge and understanding of the Procure-to-Pay process workflow, including supplier sourcing, contract management, and procure-to-pay process
• Solid understanding of Procurement Regulations
• To be well organised with a high attention to detail
• An agile approach with the ability to work successfully on multiple projects at different stages, effectively prioritising tasks
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
