Your role and responsibilities
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle databases for our clients. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing Oracle database architectures, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Performing database installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Managing database storage, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Monitoring database performance, optimizing queries, and tuning database parameters.
- Implementing and enforcing security policies, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their database requirements and objectives.
- Providing technical guidance and support to clients during the database management lifecycle.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest Oracle database features, updates, and best practices.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience in Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Oracle Data Guard, SQLplus & Pl/SQL, Oracle RMAN, Oracle GRID Infrastructure / Clusterware.
- Knowledge of setup and administration of Oracle EBusiness Suite R12 including cloning & patching.
- Thorough knowledge of Oracle Database architecture (12c).
- Experience of Oracle WebLogic.
- A depth of knowledge in OBIEE Reporting Tool.
- Operational knowledge of Open Source software such as Liferay.
