Test with purpose - keeping critical infrastructure running safely and securely

At Cadent, we're building the networks that keep the UK connected and secure - and we're looking for passionate people to join us on that journey. As an OT Test Analyst, you'll be part of the expert team responsible for testing the systems and devices that support our Operational Technology (OT) environments. These are the systems that monitor and control our gas distribution infrastructure - critical to millions of homes and businesses.

This is more than just a test role. You'll be hands-on with the latest SCADA and OT systems, validating upgrades, improving testing practices and helping deliver projects that have a direct impact on national infrastructure. You'll work closely with engineers, delivery teams and product owners to ensure what we build is secure, stable and reliable.

If you enjoy digging into the detail, collaborating with technical and operational teams, and want to make a real impact - this could be your next move.

This role is based in our Ansty, Coventry or Leicester offices and requires presence on site 4 days per week.

Why you'll love this job

You'll join a collaborative team working at the frontline of technology and operations. You'll get to test real-world systems that keep the UK's gas flowing - while developing new skills and making a meaningful contribution.

  • Real-World Impact - Contribute to critical infrastructure testing.
  • Technical Variety - Work with SCADA, OT devices and networked systems.
  • Hands-On Role - Get involved in every stage of the testing lifecycle.
  • Collaborative Environment - Work alongside engineers, analysts and technical leads.
  • Skill Growth - Expand your expertise in OT, security and test automation.
What you'll bring

You're detail-focused, curious and technically capable - with a passion for problem-solving and a desire to keep learning. You'll bring hands-on testing skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work across teams in a structured but flexible environment.

  • Testing know-how - Experience with integration, regression and performance testing.
  • Qualifications - ITIL Foundation (minimum) desirable, ISTQB/ISEB Certificate in Software Testing or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • OT experience - Understanding of SCADA/PLC systems and operational technologies.
  • Problem-solving mindset - Comfortable investigating, analysing and resolving complex issues.
  • Tool confidence - Skilled in using test tools and documenting results.
  • Team player - Strong communication and ability to work with engineers and IT teams.
