Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a well-established and leading manufacturing organisation with the recruitment of a Payroll Specialist based in Antrim.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm & Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm. This role is office based.

The Ideal Person:

If you have 2+ years working in a Payroll environment:

  • Possess 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office primarily Excel and Word.
  • Experience in processing remuneration payments and other entitlements.
  • Purchase Ledger Experience is Desirable but not applicable.
  • Exposure to SAGE.

Responsibilities:

As a Payroll specialist, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and fortnightly payroll across a number of entities as well as preparing employee salary information and responding to employee queries. You will be part of a payroll team reporting directly to the Group Head of Financial Reporting.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will:

  • ROI and NI payroll, both weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of a number of different payrolls in compliance with internal policies, legislation, best practice, and both National and Local Terms and Conditions of Employment.
  • Check and input data to ensure payrolls are accurately paid.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of HMRC PAYE and Payroll Processes guidance and regulations.
  • Respond to queries.
  • Provide senior management with pay data.
  • Ensure filing, retention, and disposal of material is compliant.
  • Liaise with third parties including HMRC.
  • Purchase Ledger.
  • Input of New Starters.
  • Processing of Leavers.
