About Us
Unseen Tours is a London-based social enterprise on a mission to provide meaningful work opportunities in the tourism, events and cultural heritage sectors for individuals who have experienced homelessness, alongside other forms of discrimination and marginalisation. The majority of our ticket revenue is paid directly to our tour guides, with the rest reinvested back into the business.

Here's what's unique about our approach - the tours provide training and meaningful work opportunities for people affected by homelessness. Tour narratives include the guides' and experience providers' own experiences of homelessness and stories from their communities, making the process individual-led. Through our process, we build the guides' self-confidence, public speaking, storytelling and customer management skills. The conversations with customers on our tours reduce barriers by increasing understanding of homelessness that challenges negative stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue and storytelling.

About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic Photographer/Videographer Volunteer to help expand our online presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other online platforms. You'll bring your creative ingenuity to capture photos and videos of our tours which will be used on our website and social media to foster community engagement and showcase the powerful stories of our guides.

Your Key Responsibilities

On-Tour Content:

  • Attend walking tours to capture photos and produce video content for use on our website and social media.
  • Engage with tour attendees, encouraging them to take their own photos and share with our team.

Content Creation:

  • Work with our team and our social media volunteer to create engaging and exciting social media content - including regular posts, promotional series, themed posts for special events, and more.
What We're Looking For
  • A passion for social justice and a desire to address homelessness.
  • Proficiency in photography and/or videography.
  • Familiarity with design programmes to enhance visual storytelling and create unique content that tells our story.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms.
  • A creative mindset that thinks outside the box, with excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm about Unseen Tours' mission and values.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible impact in changing public perceptions of homelessness.
  • Hands-on experience in capturing photos and videos of people mid-action to expand your portfolio.
  • Having your photos and videos used professionally, credited on our website and social media.
  • A platform to use your creativity.
  • A chance to collaborate with a passionate and supportive team.
  • Access to free tours to immerse yourself in the stories we share.
Main Duties

This role will offer hands-on experience in content creation and expanding a social media platform for a not-for-profit organisation. Through meetings, there is room for development that is led by the volunteer, allowing for organic growth and increased confidence as you make your own unique impact. It also increases your worldview, broadening your knowledge of social issues, how they impact individuals and what we can do to support them.
