Introduction to role
As a Project Planner II, reporting to the Planning Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating all project planning activities. You will define key decision points and turnaround times for all involved disciplines, ensuring projects stay on track. By maintaining and developing project plans, you will help identify opportunities and mitigate risks in a timely manner.
Role Responsibilities
As a Planner II with your insights and reports, project managers, leaders, and subcontractors will be well-equipped to make informed decisions, wherever they are in the world. You will play a pivotal role within the Airports and Parcels Operations Team, producing monthly project reports and supporting management in keeping projects on course.
Your responsibilities and activities will include:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that align with project scope and objectives.
- Identify critical paths, associated risks, and opportunities within project schedules.
- Coordinate with customers and subcontractors to establish an integrated project plan.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely reports to Project Managers.
- Offer analytical insights and recommendations to enhance project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to prepare and refine complex project schedules.
Role Qualification and Skills
- Experience in a project-oriented environment
- Minimum 2 years of planning experience in a fast-paced setting
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining P6 programs from inception
- Relevant project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, or similar) is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage competing deadlines
- Prior experience in aviation or baggage handling is advantageous but not essential
