Planning Lawyer needed in Bridgford Paying £23.70 per hr Ref

Full time on a temporary basis

1. To provide legal advice, guidance and representation to customers of Legal Services (internal & external) with emphasis on Property, Planning, Highways, Rights of Way and support for major commercial projects, subject to service demand and direction in any of the legal disciplines covered by the section.
2. To manage a personal caseload providing expert legal advice, support, assistance, and advocacy by reference to the Job Purpose.
3. To act on behalf of the customers in legal proceedings and to attend and advise at meetings both internal and external, as required.
4. To identify changes in law and practice relevant to the post and contribute effectively towards the development of policies, practice, and business efficiencies, including delivering training to colleagues and customers.
5. This work will include drafting and negotiating S106 agreements, highway agreements including s38, S278 agreements and related matters, preparing briefs for counsel, and attending any public inquiries or magistrate court work as necessary.
6. Whilst much of the work may be undertaken remotely, where access to physical records is necessary there is an expectation that they will be required to attend the office.
