The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager within our consulting division to manage the planning and monitoring of various new projects. You will work with the operations team to develop efficient project methodologies and ensure timely delivery. You will identify any required rectification actions and influence responsible parties to complete these actions.

What Will You Do?
  • Develop the project plan, programme, and planning report in accordance with Lendlease planning procedures.
  • Develop preconstruction and construction methodologies with the project team for effective delivery.
  • Report project progress against contracts and delivery programmes at regular intervals.
  • Support the project team in creating and managing medium and short-range programmes.
  • Produce a weekly project dashboard for updates on progress and key issues.
  • Advise the project director on critical issues and strategy.
  • Assist in chairing weekly planning meetings to coordinate project programmes and updates.
  • Review change proposals for time impact.
  • Assess and record time impacts of delays.
  • Record production rates and delays for future benchmarking.
  • Facilitate understanding and ownership of the plan and programme within the project team.
You Will Bring

Essential:

  • Good understanding of pre-construction processes and procurement methods.
  • Appreciation of primary forms of construction contracts and key commercial terms.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ability to produce reports and diagrams conveying proposed sequences and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of P6.
  • Knowledge of CPA planning techniques and project controls.
  • NEC contract experience is essential.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the specific industry sector related to the project.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
