Job Overview

Specialist Podiatrist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small dynamic team of community podiatrists caring for patients in West Essex. We are looking for an experienced, well-motivated, forward-thinking Podiatrist to demonstrate and further their clinical skills.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and possess excellent clinical and communication skills. You will provide quality service to patients in various clinical settings, including their homes.

We have specialist clinics in Diabetes, Wound Care, Nail Surgery, and Musculoskeletal Podiatry.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Autonomously assess and diagnose patients with diverse medical and podiatric conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in clinical and domiciliary settings.
  • Participate in new patient assessment clinics, routine clinics, ulcer clinics, and nail surgery.
  • Communicate complex information with patients, colleagues, and other health care professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teams, GPs, and other health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to professional standards.
  • Provide training and education to patients, students, and other health professionals.
  • Travel across all areas of West Essex and work independently and as part of a team.
Person Specification
  • Diploma/degree in Podiatry
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the NHS with high-risk feet
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • HCPC registration
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes
