A council based in Kent is looking for an Environmental Protection Manager to manage and develop the Strategic Environmental Protection team.

The Role
- Provide specialist advice and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of a team representing the Council.
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of specialist Environmental Protection functions to ensure accurate monitoring of priorities, officer performance, and high standards of service delivery to the public.
- Lead on Environmental Permitting, Local Air Quality Management, Contaminated Land, Noise, and Private Water Supplies.
- Prepare reports as necessary and take appropriate actions regarding the corporate enforcement policy; serve Notices when necessary.
- Assist the Head of Service in reviewing relevant budgets, legislation, complaints, law, and case reviews.
Qualifications
- Degree in an Environmental Sciences related subject (or equivalent).
- Recognised management qualification (ILM or similar/equivalent).
