About The Role
This position sits within the MO Technology function and reports into the Technology Portfolio-Strategy and Commercial Lead. The role will be responsible for partnering across the Business, aligned to the designated tribes to help co-create the strategic investment pipeline. Main Responsibilities- Work to form effective relationships with the business, finance and other key functions to understand and help craft business strategy roadmaps, whilst ensuring continuous alignment with the broader Group and Technology Strategy and Roadmap.
- Co-lead managing the investment portfolio and work across business and Technology teams to create a holistic and cohesive view of all Investment (product, project and pipeline). The portfolio partner will work with their co-partner to help
drive commercial insight, analysis and reporting across the group investment portfolio. - Input into the production of the monthly Strategic Investment Committee. The Portfolio team will lead through a partnership model, helping the business and Technology create a cohesive strategic pipeline of value led investment propositions.
- Manage the Portfolio Reporting Lead and will be responsible for implementing an automated portfolio reporting and insight capability.
- Partner with the Product Operations team to ensure the strategic portfolio reporting capability and tooling is designed and built to meet the overarching needs of all delivery mechanisms can produce insight led consolidated reports/dashboards/presentations.
- Project manage the process to evaluate current portfolio reporting capability and
implement/onboard a new Strategic Portfolio tooling and platform. - This role will also play a critical part in ensuring that the portfolio of work is helping to drive our Technology strategy and roadmap.
- The two partner roles will ensure alignment with overall Group strategic objectives and develop an effective and ultimately automated mechanism to ensure continuous tracking, reporting and measurement of delivery and investment against the roadmap i.e. OKRS and
KPI's.
About You
- A commercially driven individual with hands on experience creating and embedding high level strategic plans and roadmaps across an organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in change management through both portfolio management and value focussed product/project delivery.
- Experience managing portfolios and demonstrating ability to drive insight that fosters a culture of value led prioritisation.
- Experience in leadership and development of people through positive engagement.
- Significant experience building and operating portfolio and insight led reporting functions.
- Strong reporting tooling and automation experience.
- Thrives in a fluid environment, helping to drive positive change.
- Significant experience working with very senior internal/external stakeholders to build a cohesive strategy.
- Demonstrable experience with business storytelling and building compelling narratives to support the strategy.
- Systems thinking, problem solving, analytical skills & a collaborative team player with strong relationship management skills.
- Highly numerate and financial with an ability to translate strategy and outcomes into tangible commercial value.
- Familiarity with risk frameworks and understanding the balance between risk and return.
- A solid understanding of Technology operating models and the evolving technology landscape/trends.
- Very strong commercial and financial experience.
- Very strong EQ and ability to work with a myriad of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Demonstrate the ability to create a strong and forward-thinking reporting and insight function.
- Ability to consume complex data and underlying strategies and translate them into a cohesive narrative and roadmap.
- Broad technology experience with a good understanding of the underlying technology functions (Engineering, Architecture, data).
- Experience helping stakeholders translate strategy into tangible value in a product centred organisation.
