Location: Birmingham (south), West Midlands
Salary: circa £42,000 - £47,500 depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant with an ACA or ACCA qualification and a minimum of 5 years UK practice experience, for a growing accountancy firm based in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

The ideal candidate:

1. ACA or ACCA qualified
2. 5+ years of practice experience
3. Experience of reviewing Juniors work
4. Experience in tax advisory role is preferable
5. Strong practice experience and preparation of statutory year-end accounts and SME - with businesses turnover between £1 million and £10 million
6. Experience of preparing CT600s, personal tax, especially Capital Gains and issues related to domestic rental
7. Experience in handling HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
8. High level of Accounting standards, industry specifics and their applications

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.
2. Production of analysis and reports in preparation for client meetings
3. Handle day to day enquiries and queries from clients
4. Reviewing the work of more junior members of the team
5. The job is client facing, so the successful applicant would need to be confident in speaking with clients.

Package offered:

1. Salary range between £42k and £47.5k per annum depending on experience
2. Whilst the job would be office based some flexibility in WFH could be arranged after a "bedding in period".
