Pricing Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Manager to join our growing and supportive team. This is a great job for an experienced Pricing Manager to join us and assist our team in managing our niche and non-standard broker portfolios!

Aviva has introduced "smart-working" and the person in this role could potentially be based anywhere in the UK as long as they are comfortable regularly travelling to our Norwich office, where the Broker Pricing team are based.

A bit about the job:

This role is key to our business as you work with internal and external stakeholders to set up our end-to-end Broker Telematics proposition. Using your market and advanced knowledge of modelling tools and data science to provide analytically based pricing recommendations. You will act as a technical point of reference for actuarial modelling tools, data analytics and data science queries in relation to telematics pricing. Additionally, you will assess commercial implications of distribution deals, proposition developments and reinsurance arrangements; propose solutions to business and trading issues. Supporting the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables is a key factor as it enables us to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm and enable and support our customers to pursue their financial objectives.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Strong experience in Pricing General Insurance and ideally Telematics products
• Comfortable working independently and managing relationships with brokers and key internal departments (analytics, underwriting, product, trading, distribution)
• Confident with the ability to manage and deliver on own workload
• Experience of using Radar and strong Excel skills
• Experience of working with brokers and the ability to effectively communicate technical to a non-technical audience

What you'll get for this role:

• National salary £45,000 - £65,000, London salary £55,000 - £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
