NRL is partnering with a forward-thinking and established company in search of a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects: Take ownership of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring successful and timely completion. You will oversee the coordination of multiple teams, ensuring quality standards, budgets, and timelines are met.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership: Offer valuable technical guidance on complex engineering challenges, helping to resolve design and implementation issues, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.

  • Oversee design and development: Lead the creation of structural plans, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring designs are robust, safe, and aligned with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure solutions align with project goals and requirements, fostering effective collaboration across teams.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections: Regularly assess project sites to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any emerging issues, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety at all times.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and innovations, ensuring your team and projects remain at the forefront of engineering excellence.

What You Could Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred), with a proven track record of success in civil and structural engineering.

  • Extensive experience in managing civil and structural engineering projects, with a strong background in overseeing large, complex projects and delivering them on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and provide clear direction and technical advice.

  • Problem-solving ability: You'll need to be a strong critical thinker with the ability to identify complex engineering issues and develop effective solutions, making sound decisions in challenging situations.

  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet or exceed project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
