Principal Clinical Psychologist
Full time & Part time positions available.
Salary: Band 8b (£62,215 to £72,293 per annum).
Variable Hours (Monday - Friday).

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join one of our public clients based in Preston. You will be responsible for ensuring the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to patients within the Central Lancashire services. You will be based within a health centre in Preston but will have additional provision in outpatient settings across Preston and Chorley. You will liaise with the pain and ME/CFS Clinical lead and Team lead, Service colleagues, colleagues in other physical health and mental health teams, including IAPT, other senior clinical professions including GP's and other professionals within the wider Integrated Care System.

What you'll do:

  • To offer expert psychological representation, direction, and assistance to other professionals who are actively involved in the development, diagnosis, and treatment of clients.
  • To guarantee that every member of the treating team has access to a framework grounded in psychology for comprehending and caring for service users through consultation and provisional advice, as well as the sharing of psychological theory and research.
  • To monitor progress throughout the duration of both uni disciplinary and multidisciplinary care, and to skilfully and sensitively communicate information regarding the assessment, formulation, and treatment plans of clients under their care.
  • To help all members of the treatment team deliver appropriate and successful psychological care by offering knowledge, advice, and assistance.

What we're looking for:

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience in delivering psychological interventions to individuals with complex health conditions.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting, with an understanding of how to contribute to integrated care.
