You'll be responsible for the design, consultation, procurement & site supervision of a range of projects in the Southwest/ Bristol region.

Our client, a distinguished entity in the Highways & Transport is currently seeking a Principal Engineer to join their team on an interim basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing 20mph schemes, highway improvements, and traffic management solutions
• Managing car parking and resident parking projects
• Overseeing cycleway schemes and pedestrian crossings
• Conducting consultations, procurement processes, and site supervision
• Collaborating with contractors and monitoring project progress on-site
• Ensuring project delivery aligns with safety and regulatory standards

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highway engineering, particularly within the HTP sector
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to attend team meetings on Wednesdays and regularly visit sites
• Understanding of traffic management and pedestrian safety principles
