ContextPrincipal Highway Engineer with construction and design experience. The role requires the candidate to be based in a construction site office to offer design support to the contractor during the construction of highway works designed by SYSTRA.
Missions/Main DutiesThis person would be a senior member of a site based design support service to the construction team. They would be answering Field Change Requests and observing site testing against the Highways specification. They will be part of a site based team but may need to act independently as the team covers a number of site compounds across Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Solihull and Birmingham. Support is given from the existing design team based in design offices. Candidate needs to have a working knowledge of the Highways Specification.
Profile/SkillsAbility to communicate effectively and collaboratively with clients construction teams. Have experience in the design of highway projects. Have experience of working on construction sites. Have ability to tutor and guide junior members of the team to grow their skills. Be able to clearly communicate with design staff in remote offices.
