Principal Software Engineer/Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer or Software Architect with several years of proven experience delivering complex software solutions, including a track record of leading the design and implementation of scalable, efficient solutions using event-driven and microservices architectural patterns, with an ability to demonstrate hands-on coding experience (preferably in Python), an ability to write and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs) and design documentation in Markdown. An ability to drive DevOps practices to ensure robust, secure, and maintainable platforms, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical direction and strategy, is essential.

Experience in large Telecom environments (eg, BT, Vodafone, EE, Three UK, O2, Virgin, TalkTalk) or SDN (Software-Defined Networking) is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments, are a must. An understanding of CICD pipelines, release cycles, software runway, and infra requirements to support ongoing improvements is a prerequisite.
