Why this role is important to us

The goal of the EMEA Solutions Engineering (Presales) Team is to contribute to sales cases with existing and prospective clients by providing business and solution expertise to reach revenue targets and expand SimCorp's profile across EMEA. As trusted advisors, the team members assist clients in making optimal decisions about their solution design.

You will be part of a team of more than 30 consultants across EMEA. In the role as Principal Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the Sales and Customer Success Management teams to understand the client needs and requirements. You will provide high quality demos, workshops and PoCs (proof of concept) in the Financial Instruments / Derivatives domain and convey the power of our solutions and services.

You will be reporting to a Director Solutions Engineering in the SimCorp EMEA Solutions Engineering team.

What you will be responsible for, in the expert area of Derivatives and Financial Instruments

  1. Analyzing workflows and requirements of prospects and translating these into SimCorp solutions.
  2. Mapping requests from the customer with the product and services offered by SimCorp Dimension.
  3. Providing high quality responses to prospective client RFIs (request for information) and RFPs (request for proposal).
  4. Contributing to and delivering SimCorp Dimension presentations, demos, workshops, and POCs.
  5. Effectively communicating the benefits and value of SimCorp's solutions to prospective clients.
  6. Obtaining a thorough understanding of SimCorp's sales model and relevant processes.
  7. Gaining and maintaining knowledge of SimCorp's product and service portfolio.
  8. Sharing expertise in overall functionalities of the solution.

  1. Domain expertise in Derivatives and Financial Instruments; life-cycle, settlement, collateral, valuation etc.
  2. Very good presentation or system demo skills.
  3. Great consulting and communication skills (both written and oral).
  4. Methodical and structured approach.
  5. Experience in a role in Presales or Implementation in the financial services industry, from an audit company or consulting firm is nice to have.
  6. Fluency in English is essential (spoken and written). French or German skills would be beneficial.
  7. Flexibility to travel within EMEA from time to time (approx. 5 days/month).
