Rix & Kay, an influential law firm amongst the professional community of Sussex and Kent, is seeking an experienced lawyer to join our Private Client Team. You will be based in the firm's Uckfield office, where Rix & Kay has been established for more than 75 years. With a commanding presence in the region, our office provides the perfect blend of professional support and a dynamic work environment. You will also have the flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Your opportunity

Join our extensive and highly-regarded Private Client Team, known for providing quality advice to high-net-worth individuals, business owners and their families. You will provide high quality legal advice on the full range of private client matters with an opportunity to establish yourself as a trusted advisor to clients - developing your technical expertise and personal reputation as someone who guides clients on long-term strategic planning. Upholding the highest level of client service at all times will be essential.

As a Solicitor / Associate you will also:

• Work with the Head of Department to inform strategy, help grow the Private Client practice and improve business process and working practices.
• Supervise and mentor a team of junior Solicitors, Paralegals and Trainees.
• Seek opportunities for personal development, with support from the firm's Partners, to continuously improve in all areas of technical delivery, commerciality, pre-empting market or industry developments and the development of your people management skills.
• Develop and implement a BD and marketing plan to raise the firm's profile and win new work.
• Act as an Ambassador for Rix & Kay, promoting the firm's core values, wider legal expertise and other business objectives.
