The project:
Working as part of Mace's multi-disciplinary team for Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to deliver their £4 billion investment to provide an additional 18,000 new prison places across their estate portfolio. The programme is responding at pace to work across multiple workstreams to support the MoJ's aims to gain pricing, programme, quality and social value benefits from the collaborative delivery approach.

Our procurement and supply chain team work very closely with our clients to implement a best practice and responsible procurement and supply chain pathway to contract award in managing the full procurement process and supply chain integration.
Public sector procurement expertise is a key service offering being developed in line with our responsible business objectives, to ensure our strategic advice to our clients is accurate and in-depth.
We offer agile working from any of our core UK offices which includes London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Winchester.
You'll be responsible for:
- Prequalification management via standard selection questionnaire process.
- Drafting tender documents.
- Tender issuance and management (via approved online portals).
- Evaluating tenders.
- Supporting commercial management of contractual agreements and arrangements.
You'll need to have:
- An excellent understanding of public procurement regulations and practices including the EU directives.
- Experience with the latest find a tender processes.
- Planning of procurement activities, managing internal and external stakeholders during the procurement lifecycle.
- Awareness of contract law and an ability to support on contract and commercial aspects.
- Full Membership or studying for Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Management desired.
- Infrastructure and complex project procurement experience is desired.
You'll also have:
- Experienced in Public Procurement Regulations 2015 and EU Directives.
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Be experienced in the use of online procurement systems/on-line tender portals.
- Collaborative and team player ethic and be willing to support other team members/stakeholders.
- Experience in market engagement, prequalification and tender management process and evaluation.
