About the Role:

As the Senior Buyer, you will report directly to the Operations Director and have the opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team. You'll manage end-to-end procurement activities, balancing both strategic and operational priorities. This hands-on role requires a proactive Buyer who can roll up their sleeves while also thinking about the big-picture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement procurement strategies to optimise costs, quality, and supply chain efficiency.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money.
3. Monitor market trends, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, and production teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and deliver measurable results.

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
2. Strong operational and strategic skill sets, with the ability to balance day-to-day tasks with long-term planning.
3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
4. A hands-on approach, with the ability to lead by example.
5. Analytical mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
