About your role as Procurement/Category Manager:

1. Line management of procurement staff
2. Development of procurement and contracts management strategies
3. Risk / opportunity identification
4. Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023
5. Innovate towards delivery of key objectives

About you as a Procurement/Category Manager:

1. Experience within a local authority or similar organisation
2. Detailed knowledge of public sector procurement regulations across multiple category areas
3. Experience preparing relevant tender documentation
4. Chartered Institute of Procurement professional qualification or significant relevant experience
5. Experience with e-procurement software
