About the role

We have a phenomenal opportunity for an expert Procurement Manager to join the Tesco procurement team!

This role requires an extensive procurement category background, with particular strengths and experience in the labour services category preferred.

This role will be pivotal in delivering commercial excellence to support meaningful business budgets.

  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and delivering procurement strategies, ensuring positive relationships with suppliers & partners are maintained internationally.
  • Developing and implementing projects supporting Tesco's transformation priorities.
  • Opportunities for individual development in procurement through exposure to fast-paced transformational projects.
  • Writing and delivering the procurement plan for your designated services and products.
  • Implementing improvements in existing services, including specialization and automation enhancements.
  • Acting as the go-to person for partners on strategy development.
  • Leading supplier reviews and addressing contract-related concerns.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal and external partners to understand and influence requirements.
  • Reviewing existing and potential suppliers for sustainability, risk minimization, and service optimization.

You will need

  • Strong commercial competence and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration and partner engagement.
  • A proven track record of delivering change by influencing and challenging norms.
  • High standards of ethics and personal integrity, with a focus on self and team development.
  • At least three years of procurement/buying experience, preferably in retail or labour services.
