Job Description

Job Title: Category Manager (Estates and Facilities)

Location: Southampton

Daily Rate: £400 - £600

Job Type: Interim (6 months, with potential for extension)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Hybrid working - one day onsite)

Job Profile:

Oversee procurement activities within the Estates and Facilities category, including Residences, Construction works, and Hard and Soft FM.
Provide robust procurement advice, guidance, and support to customers, suppliers, and managers.
Undertake procurement procedures and letting contracts.
Prepare procurement strategies and implement a wide range of supply, service, consultancy and works procurement arrangements.
Set up frameworks and longer-term Soft and Hard FM arrangements.

Specification:

Strong procurement background with MCIPS qualification.
Experience in construction procurement, particularly in a public sector/HE environment.
Experience with call-offs from key consultancy and construction frameworks.
Knowledge of the RIBA plan of work 2020.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
