Procurement Manager

Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships from a diverse global supply base, delivering cost reduction and supply strategy to ensure a World Class Supply Chain for the assigned commodities. This role requires coordination with a diverse network of stakeholders and complete ownership of supplier performance in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify Dover Zero harm rules in support of a safe working environment.
- Develop and maintain supply strategy in line with Dover Code of Conduct.
- Act as focal point and subject matter expert in global market for assigned commodities.
- Strategic sourcing: Develop cost baseline & inflation forecasts, perform data analysis on commodity spend, supplier performance, and market intelligence.
- Supplier management: Identify and evaluate suppliers, manage relationships based on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Capacity.
- Cost management: Drive significant cost reduction initiatives.
- Risk management: Assess and mitigate risks related to sourcing and supply chain activities.
- Project coordination: Support construction projects by providing timely procurement of required goods.
- Contract management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle and continuously improve quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to gather and analyze procurement data.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices.
- Report on supply base conditions and corrective actions.
- Demonstrate professional supply chain best practices.
- Support Technology on new product development.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- International travel may be required.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a similar role within a large global manufacturing organization.
- Detail and process-oriented approach.
- Strategic mindset and excellent time management skills.
- Accountable and persistent in problem-solving.
- Confident in negotiation and effective communication.
- Willingness to engage with stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Self-motivated and flexible in accepting responsibilities.
- Able to travel regularly as required.
Candidate Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree qualified or relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years in a similar role, preferably in engineering or high-volume manufacturing.
- Commodity-specific technical knowledge.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS packages.
- Level 5 or 6 CIPS qualification is an advantage.
- Expert in service contracts and terms.
- Excellent English (verbal and written).
