Company Description
Navantia UK require a Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team in Methil. The successful jobholder will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities including sourcing, supplier selection and contract negotiation across major subcontracts, equipment, consumables and services.
Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and engage with key suppliers, negotiating the best terms for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring strong partnerships that deliver value and efficiency.
- Support the company's sustainability and cost-saving initiatives through effective supply chain management.
- Negotiate contracts, including pricing, service levels, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with production schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree within Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience within a procurement or supply chain management capacity preferably across heavy industry (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction)
- Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management and supplier evaluation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
