As a key member of the Commercial Finance leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the Scotsman Group's procurement strategy. This position leads the Commercial Admin team and is responsible for delivering high-impact, complex supply scoping strategies across the Group. You'll focus initially on goods not for resale-such as energy, consumables, and service supplies-ensuring these areas drive value, support sustainable growth, and enable operational excellence.

You will take ownership of end-to-end procurement initiatives: from identifying cost-saving opportunities and conducting strategic tendering, to contract implementation, supplier management, and KPI tracking. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on making a tangible impact in a fast-paced, multi-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and develop the Commercial Admin team, building a centre of excellence for procurement and supply chain support across the Group.
  • Act as a strategic procurement partner to operational teams, providing guidance, tools, and data-driven insight to improve decision-making.
  • Scope and deliver complex procurement projects, especially across GNFR categories such as energy, consumables, and services.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive tendering calendar and ensure all supplier renewals are proactively addressed.
  • Design and implement tender processes that deliver optimal value, quality, and service outcomes.
  • Take ownership of supplier negotiations, ensuring the best total value-not just lowest price-while upholding service standards and long-term viability.
  • Oversee supplier performance and contract compliance, including tracking spend, setting KPIs, and maintaining governance around supplier relationships.
  • Implement purchasing and contract management policies, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Lead continuous improvement and business efficiency initiatives within procurement and commercial admin functions.
  • Act as the key liaison for cross-functional projects that interface with procurement, supporting scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Maintain a strategic focus on high-value expenditure areas and proactively manage utility tracking, supplier transitions, and change of tenancy actions.
  • Champion best practices in procurement and contract management across all stakeholder groups.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven success in procurement and contract management, ideally within a complex, multi-site business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on long-term value creation and service excellence.
  • A strategic negotiator with a track record of delivering savings, efficiencies, and improved supplier performance.
  • Experienced in running end-to-end tender processes, including writing tender documents, evaluating submissions, and onboarding suppliers.
  • Confident managing complex contracts and business-critical supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communicator, able to build trust with senior stakeholders and operational teams alike.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and inspire team members.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving, change-driven environment.
  • Highly organised, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting or leading business change initiatives.
Desirable but Not Essential
  • Experience in procurement for Goods Not for Resale (GNFR), particularly in the FMCG, hospitality, or group enterprise sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience of energy procurement and management across a business portfolio.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations and supplier performance management systems.
