Are you an Apparel / Product Designer with a passion for designing fantastic clothing? Do you have an eye for beautiful design and an ability to make stand-out products?
Come and join the Harry Potter design team!
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about producing strong product ideas which surpass an initial brief. This person will be a passionate about product design with the ability develop existing internal relationships and enjoy working as part of a team.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Design and launch new products in conjunction with the use of predesigned style guides as well as self-developed ideas
- Explore fashion trends as well working on other product areas, such as hardlines, plush etc and input into all aspects of the design process through to production
- Design into Harry Potter products that are specific not only to the UK Tour but across all global locations
- Collaborate with areas of the broader business such as E-comm, Instore Marketing and Retail teams
- Work in close conjunction with the buying and merchandising teams, bringing to life product requirements as well as managing creative concepts and projects
Qualifications & Experience
- A passion and proven ability to imagine, design and create fantastic products. With the lead design being on apparel
- Demonstrable illustrative design capabilities
- Proficiency with the Adobe suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat with general knowledge of using Word, Power point and Excel
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment on FMCG
- Proven excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written, with the ability to communicate collaboratively internally and externally with people at all levels and work as part of a team
- Prior experience developing and bringing designs to life, balancing business requirements and technical constraints
- Keen interest in product design best practices & trends and how to incorporate these into deliverables
- Ability to encourage cooperation, coordination and communication between designers
- Experience presenting projects to all teams and senior stakeholders
- High degree of organisational skills to manage various tasks, prioritise own workload and manage time effectively to deliver projects within timescales
- Interest in defining the design process working alongside other disciplines like buying/merchandising and E-comm.
- A great sense of aesthetics and how to tell a story visually. An ability to make beautiful and clear artboards inclusive of all production requirements such as packaging and finishes
- A naturally collaborative and curious mind, that strives to help others shine and the team to deliver amazing products
Working Pattern
- This role will be based at our offices in Leavesden, with working hours between 08.00 - 17.00.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
