Job Description

Overview Role: Product Designer
Perm/Contract: Contract - extension for Adam Spokes
Location: London
WFH/Remote: Hybrid model - minimum of 2 days per week in the office

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Rank, Showcase & Amplify area that includes My Account, Profiles, Ranking Logos and Ranking Data Hub products, discover and understand user needs, highlight improvement opportunities and communicate it internally and externally
  • Own and manage product design activities in your product team
  • Support the Rank, Showcase & Amplify product team to prepare and deliver sprints, by creating and refining designs and other required deliverables
  • Design and conduct user research to uncover pain points and user needs, test your hypotheses and design solutions, carry competitive analysis when needed, analyse and synthesise data and feedback (qual / quant) to inform the further developments and design of Amplify products
  • Ideate, design and deliver fully fleshed out user experience along with relevant assets for My Account and Ranking Data Hub, enabling Chambers to hit their goals
  • Also get familiar with the other Rank, Showcase and Amplify products in order to pick up any design work if needed
  • Collaborate with design team and various stakeholders, facilitate ideation or alignment workshops when necessary
  • Keep documentation of your design and user research work to help generate cohesive knowledge across the business
  • Articulate your design decisions to key stakeholders when needed
  • Lead, guide, support the other Rank, Showcase & Amplify (RSA) designer through their work on other RSA products
  • Ensure your designs are considered within the wider product ecosystem, that they fit and complement other work streams in other product areas, influence other designers' work in order to achieve overall UX cohesion
  • Work closely with other members of the design team, advise, guide, share your thoughts, knowledge, work in progress, feedback on their work, be a driving force on our journey to improve cohesion over the overall Chambers product suite

Key Initiatives:

  • Performing the listed initiatives using the latest techniques, IT and digital strategies, including UX and UI, in-line with the yearly, cyclic use of Chambers Applications through My Account
    • Support the delivery of two factor authentication, ensuring it's built to design specification
    • Delivery support for design requirements for the creation of Germany and France guides
    • Supporting discovery and delivery around profile improvements around Referrals/Credibility
    • Discovery of a redesigned ranking logos area
  • Lead and contribute towards the evolution and maintenance of Chambers Design System, continue to improve how the design team creates and uses it, how we can work better with the UI development team and how it applies to Chambers products suite
  • Design team cohesion, ways of working and practice improvements

Skills and Experience

  • A well-rounded product design skill set with demonstrable experience working cross-functionally across the entire product development cycle, from ideation to implementation and iteration. You can take us through case studies rather than final designs
  • You can identify problems and opportunities, your favourite question is "why?". You use quantitative and qualitative insights as well as customer and internal team interviews to inform a problem space, prove or disprove hypotheses and evaluate user experience
  • You have experience facilitating the creation of a shared vision and approach for new products and features, creating alignment and driving projects to completion
  • You are comfortable communicating internally, up, out and down to gather feedback and onboard others in your design approach
  • You have contributed to the creation, maintenance and evolution of a design system
  • You have helped grow and mentor other designers throughout your experience

  • You are a facilitator, you master different facilitation techniques to gather different points of views and requirements, collaboratively ideate and create alignment
  • You lead by example and know how and when to involve other designers to help you but also to support their career development, always looking to improve yourself and to lift up others around you
  • You help champion design thinking within your product team, the product design team and the broader organisation
  • You work humbly and kindly, aren't afraid to make mistakes and learn from them
