PROJECT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager who will oversee and guide all aspects of the assigned Capital Construction Project from initiation to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring that the Project is executed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful construction projects.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Define and seek agreement for project goals, objectives, and deliverables. Develop scope of works document from the client's Project Initiation document.
2. Identify and maintain the project risk register.
3. Liaise with the Capital portfolio manager and Procurement partner on project specifics, reaching agreement on project scope, deliverables, and procurement strategy.
4. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets, based on client input.
5. Validate that safety and quality expectations can be achieved.
6. Direct and manage external project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, to ensure all project aspects align with the overall vision.
7. Develop an effective communication strategy for the project.
8. Provide regular updates to the client on project status, progress, and challenges.

Role Requirements

• Experience in a project construction management role or similar, particularly with hands-on experience managing construction projects.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
• NEBOSH Safety Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and relevant construction technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety protocols, building codes, and industry best practices.
