As a Project Development Manager, you will play a key role in securing contracts and supporting development activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the expansion of onshore wind projects in the region.

Vestas Development is a strategic business unit within Vestas, dedicated to driving growth by originating and developing new wind projects globally. The department operates through in-house resources and strategic partnerships, supporting Vestas' broader turbine business.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage project development agreements, including development activities, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement.
2. Support business development, assisting the regional head in identifying new opportunities and originating development and investment prospects.
3. Oversee due diligence, managing internal and third-party assessments while conducting technical and financial evaluations.
4. Engage with internal stakeholders, preparing high-level presentations and documentation for executive approvals.
5. Demonstrate leadership in project management, effectively managing multiple tasks while leading complex, cross-functional, and international teams.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of proven experience in the UK energy sector, with a strong background in wind or renewable project development.
2. Degree in Business or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or Business Management.
3. Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous.
4. Experience in procuring development service agreements, consultant agreements, and construction contracts (EPC/BOP) or prior experience working for a wind or PV original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is a plus.
5. Desirable experience in offtake origination, sourcing, structuring, execution, and negotiation of commercial agreements essential for project financing.
6. Self-motivated, energetic, and ambitious, with the ability to work independently.
7. Strong communication, analytical, organisational, and financial modelling skills, with both quantitative and qualitative expertise.
8. Excellent business acumen, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to think both critically and strategically.
9. Highly professional and capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
