Project Financial Controller

This role is a long-term contract. Part-time 3 days a week (Outside IR35) within an industry leading Utilities/ Energy business.

1. The delivery of the key component of the Group External Financial Statements including disclosures in the Group Annual Report and Accounts.
2. Oversee the External Reporting, Asset and Ledgers, UK Finance Shared Service Centre, and Knowledge Management teams.
3. Manage the UK statutory accounts and regulatory accounts process including external audit sign off.
4. Oversee the coordination and execution of the UK audit process to Group timetable liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle.
5. Providing technical accounting to various areas across the UK business to assist with decision making.
6. Develop, maintain and further evolve a strong internal control environment in relation to the business.
7. Management of balance sheet risks and opportunities, ensuring the robust balance sheet review process is maintained with a strong focus on working capital and cashflow management.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
9. Preparation of Board quality outputs for significant accounting judgements and key year deliverables in relation to the UK business.
10. Prepare period end close documentation and period end reporting packs including variance analysis for review by the Financial Controller.
