The operations manager is responsible for the delivery of special projects and continuous improvement across the project, including process improvement, knowledge management, and organisational development.
A key part of the role is providing governance support to the senior leadership team, working with teams across the project and providing exposure to colleagues at all levels.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and influencing subject matter experts to deliver special projects or continuous improvement projects on behalf of the Leadership Team.
- Acting as an integrator, facilitating collaboration across the internal organisation, the integrated project team, and supply chain.
- Supporting good project governance: undertake the role of secretariat for all board meetings, preparing board packs and issuing notes.
- Ensuring key information and decisions are made available to colleagues across the project.
- Supporting the maintenance of key overarching project documents such as the contractor's management plan and business continuity plan.
- Owning the design, content, and strategy for the internal project web-platform.
- Developing and managing the apprentice programme in collaboration with the project services team.
- Assisting in the production/supply of information to support any parent company bids/initiatives.
- Supporting the delivery of the project strategy, including implementation of improvement plans and innovation projects.
- Supporting the project's annual review with HS2 leaders and production/approval of the report.
You'll need to have:
- Experience in a relevant industry or discipline (e.g., major projects, construction, infrastructure, transport planning, business improvement, project management).
