Project Manager with testing background

Our client, a renowned European institution in the heart of Brussels, is dedicated to developing and implementing policies to make Europe fit for the digital age.

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our client's team and play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development project management, with expertise in testing and quality assurance.

The project is dedicated to an open-source, secure middleware platform developed to enhance data access and interoperability across the European data spaces.

Location requirement:

• Brussels, working from the Institution's comfortable offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review contractor deliverables and ensure they meet project requirements.
• Actively engage with contractors, ensuring they fulfil their responsibilities.
• Speak up in meetings and provide valuable insights and feedback.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure the overall deliverables align with project goals.
• Lead and support efforts in testing, including automated testing strategies and tooling.
• Provide input on code verification processes to ensure high-quality software development.
• Foster a transversal approach to testing, ensuring that all team members contribute to quality assurance

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development projects.
• Strong background in testing, including automated testing methodologies and test tools, both for UI and API testing.
• Experience in code verification is a plus.
• Experience with Open-Source environments is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently in meetings.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including architecture, testing, and development teams.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
