Job Description

Join a team that is changing places and changing lives.

Groundwork is the community charity with a green heart. We believe that big global issues - the economy, the environment - have a big local impact. Groundwork operates throughout the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face.

Project Officer (Suffolk)
Salary: £26,508 to £28,327 (pro rata) depending on experience.
Term: Part-time or Full-time (22.5 - 37 hours per week).
Location: Suffolk area with some remote working available. There may be a requirement to travel to Norfolk and Essex.

Groundwork has a range of exciting opportunities and we are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for engaging communities, supporting people to learn, and improving the environment to help drive our programmes forward.

We are recruiting for a Project Officer role in Suffolk to deliver and project manage a wide range of community and education projects across the county.

The role will involve delivering a variety of projects in group settings, which can include gardening, outdoor play, community engagement, climate awareness (including the delivery of water literacy and carbon literacy courses), and school-based programmes. These projects will support participants to improve their health, well-being, knowledge, and skills.

You will require strong communication and organizing skills and will be leading practical tasks. You will work with different community groups, particularly vulnerable people, as well as coordinate with local partner organisations.

There is ample scope for innovation, and we'll ensure you're given all the support and guidance you need to advance your career.

If you are looking for an inclusive, family-friendly organisation that offers flexibility, a supportive culture, an employee assistance programme, and the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career, we would like to hear from you.

Groundwork East is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all members of the community.

Appointment to this role is subject to an enhanced records check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
