London - Hybrid working of 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week working from home

A Project Operations Engineer is required to work on a permanent staff basis for a leading Oil & Gas company that will provide a hybrid working set up of 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week working from home.

Tenders support

  1. Identify the key operations deliverables.
  2. Collaborate with the pursuit team, the POM, and the Tender Lead to develop the operational strategy for the tender.
  3. Coordinate and consolidate inputs from multiple disciplines to support the development of the operational planning.
  4. Improve offshore schedule and consider client constraints.
  5. Define requirements and produce SOW for SCM.
  6. Support the estimators in producing costing for all tender options.
  7. Define the vessels POBs and provide input to the estimators.
  8. Ensure adherence to tendering procedures and processes and maintain traceability throughout the tender and post tender clarification and negotiation phases.
  9. Ensure adherence to operations department ways of working to organize the activities and store the tender experience for future use/handover to project team.
  10. Support the Tender Lead with the preparation of presentations for gate reviews.
  11. Support the tender lead and region with the post submission clarifications and negotiations.
  12. Organize and host meetings with the disciplines to facilitate the offshore schedule review.
  13. Identify and constantly update the key Operations related risks and opportunities throughout the tender.

Projects support

  1. Prepare, review and comment Technical Documents to support operations.
  2. Participate in the definition of the required offshore spread.
  3. Liaise with SCM to select 3rd party vessels and operations related services and assets by preparing SOWs and reviewing technical offers.
  4. Participate in installation feasibility reviews and HIRAs.
  5. Provide operational input to Engineering and Planning functions.
  6. Manage vessels readiness activities.
  7. Review vessels POBs and organize the manning of chartered vessels with the support of Crewing.
  8. Ensure that the installation spread has full support, in terms of Logistic, Transportation, Safety, & Certification etc.
  9. Support the development of the baseline Project schedule.
  10. Ensure 3rd party services cost and planning are tracked and monitored.
  11. Assist Engineers on vessel readiness and during mobilization & demobilization activities.
  12. Plan and coordinate activities in yards and at quaysides.
  13. Ensure that project equipment is mobilized/demobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
  14. Supervise material tracking activities and ensure equipment inspection, readiness, delivery, tracking & demobilisation.
  15. Liaise with the in-country team to ensure operations are planned and run efficiently.
  16. Support HSE initiatives/activities to ensure that the work will be done safely and efficiently.
  17. Provide input to the Project Operations Debrief Report and to the lessons learnt.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Extensive offshore experience having worked onboard pipelay/construction vessels (ideally previously Field Engineer or similar).
  • Knowledge of subsea construction and onshore fabrication recommended.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE and keen to promote safe practices.
  • Skilled in the coordination of multiple interfaces across functions.
  • A strong work ethic, willing to work in highly changeable environments, meeting tight deadlines whilst delivering high quality outcomes.
  • Committed to collaborative working in a multi-location team environment.
  • Mobility to travel to all international locations for short business trips or missions.
  • Good understanding of company products, activities and assets.
