Position Overview:

The client is seeking a consultant to support the design, procurement, and implementation of a 5G communication solution for the Princess Elisabeth Island project.

This includes radio design evaluation, tender drafting, vendor management, and project follow-up from conception to handover.

What you'll do:

RFP (Request for Proposal) Phase

• Draft a European tender document, including design, installation, operations, and maintenance
• Organize technical clarification meetings
• Serve as technical contact for bidders
• Fine-tune the design if needed
• Evaluate bids and total cost of ownership in collaboration with purchasing
• Provide progress reports

Optional - Preparation Phase

• Create a realistic implementation plan with selected vendor/operator
• Define contractors and testing requirements
• Identify and manage issues during preparation
• Regularly report on progress

Implementation Phase

• Follow up on vendor/operator installation activities
• Act as technical point of contact for reporting and escalations
• Conduct or oversee tests
• Manage issues and monitor progress

Closure Phase

• Oversee solution acceptance and vendor delivery
• Transfer knowledge to client Datacom team via training and documentation

What you bring:

• Client's IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and fiber/copper cable networks
• Data center and substation communications
• Remote surveillance, protection, and telephony
• Inter-TSO connectivity and secure communication networks
• 5+ years of experience writing EU tenders
• 3+ years of experience in the telecom sector
• 3+ years of experience in project management
