Public & Regulatory / Information Lawyer

One of our public sector clients is looking for an experienced Lawyer / Solicitor to join their Legal Services division based in Birmingham.

Please note you must be qualified to practice law in England & Wales

This role would suit someone with a couple of years PQE looking to move into a serious role with a leading public sector firm, or someone with a particular interest in public law.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• assisting on legislative transformation projects
• drafting legislation and proposals
• publication of enforcement outcomes
• freedom of information requests
• compliance with data protection legislation
• subject access requests
• GDPR

The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following:

• Regulatory Law (or regulatory prosecutions)
• Information/ Data Protection / Privacy Law
• Public Law
• Competition Law, Litigation (on public authorities), Corporate Law, Commercial Law
• Experience working on projects and legislative change programmes
• Advising as part of an in-house team
• Experience instructing and managing external counsel

Our client is based in Birmingham and operates a hybrid working model (onsite 2 days per week), offering a salary of £65k per year.
