We are now recruiting for a Purchasing and Planning Manager to join our team. We're looking for a supply chain and planning professional with a demonstrated management track record of delivering value in a manufacturing environment.

As our Purchasing and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining and owning the master schedule in line with customer requirements, including planning of work centres, raw material, and sub-contract operations.
  2. Matching customer requirements with factory and supply chain capacity and identifying bottlenecks / requirements for new capacity well in advance of requirement.
  3. Developing a supply chain capable of delivering to the master schedule with outstanding quality and on-time delivery and lead-time performance, including managing supplier scorecards.
  4. Negotiating long-term supply agreements with suppliers as appropriate to protect against price escalation and ensure security of supply.
  5. Developing and delivering strategic procurement initiatives to drive year-on-year price improvement in the supply chain.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  1. Five years' experience in Procurement & Master Production Scheduling roles
  2. Experience with using MRP systems within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to respond quickly to requirements, prioritising effectively
  4. Analytical, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail and the ability to work across the organisation.
  5. 5 years planning experience
  6. 5 years management experience

It would be desirable if you also have:

  1. A degree in a similar field.
  2. 3 years of buying experience.
